Two New Brunswick fencers travelled to Orlando, Florida for USA Fencing’s October North American Cup (NAC), held October 9–12, 2026 at the Orange County Convention Center. Sammy Singh Ranger and Ethan Han competed in the Cadet Challenger Men’s Épée event.

Congratulations to Sammy and Ethan! A NAC is one of the biggest stages in North American fencing, drawing hundreds of athletes from clubs across the United States, Canada and beyond, and simply earning a place on the strip is an achievement. Both fencers finished in the top third of a deep 153-fencer field: Sammy (Cadet Challenger Men’s Épée, 43rd of 153) and Ethan (Cadet Challenger Men’s Épée, 46th of 153).

Results like these show that New Brunswick fencers can hold their own against the best young épéeists on the continent. Sammy and Ethan represented our province with skill and determination in Orlando, and the whole New Brunswick fencing community is proud of them. Well done!
